The Need
The GTT service has enabled the restaurant chain to move cost-effectively from a low bandwidth network to a higher-speed, dual broadband solution across all its sites. The improved network performance is enabling new ways of working for the chain’s employees. For example, the company is now able to reach and train many more staff through the use of video content shared and streamed across its new, high-speed network.
Enhance efficiency
GTT provides internet connectivity utilizing a mix of broadband and Dedicated Internet Access circuits, with 100Mbps download and 10Mbps upload speeds for each connection. GTT also managed the deployment of new circuits to ensure access redundancy and resilience.
Improved customer experience
Better connectivity can directly influence the dining experience, for instance, by supporting servers in using handheld devices to take table orders. The restaurant chain is currently rolling out such a system to many of its sites.
Enhanced back-office operations
Improved network performance is enabling new ways of working for the chain’s employees. Better Wi-Fi has enabled the use of handheld order and payment processing devices, the kitchen receives orders faster and servers have more time on the floor to attend to guests.
