What’s Next For Networking?

Network service providers are being sought by both cloud providers and the end-user for more bandwidth and faster network speeds than ever before. Your customers are looking to capture the value of the cloud and the edge of the network with the view to powering applications like CRMs, ERPs, and cloud-based collaboration solutions such as Microsoft Teams. To remove the constraints of delivering high performance for these applications, forward-thinking service providers must look to other global wholesalers to assure network availability and performance.

Bearing your end customers in mind, the next step lies in working with wholesalers whose technology roadmap starts at 400 GB with plans in place to scale to reach 800 GB. The most recent Gartner Hype Cycle for CSP Networks Infrastructure features 800 G Transport as it offers the upgrade path to an exhausted 400G network, without the requirement of additional fibers, delivers higher data throughput per wave, and higher bit-rate connectivity with a greener network infrastructure.

Acceleration of data speeds needs to be complemented by the further development and increased deployment of new networking technologies, such as generative artificial intelligence, software-defined networking (SDN), and edge computing. These technologies have the potential to revolutionize the way networks are designed, deployed, and managed - advancing the capabilities of cloud computing and driving innovation across industries.

The combination of faster and more efficient connectivity with new networking technologies and insights, productivity, network performance, and efficiency will all improve, providing additional cost savings and greener operations.
